Werner Brozović, known simply as Werner, is a Croatian-Slovenian pop singer, born on January 13, 1970, in Selce, Croatia. He began his music career in Croatia, working with well-known composers such as Đorđe Novković and Ivo Lesić, and performing at major festivals including the Split Festival, Zagreb Fest, and Melodies of Istria and Kvarner. In 1993, he gained recognition in Slovenia after appearing on the TV show Poglej in zadeni, which marked the beginning of his successful career in Slovenian entertainment.
Werner soon became a household name in Slovenia’s pop and schlager music scene, known for hits like "Hej mala opala," "Ne gane me," and "Tu je moj dom." His discography includes several albums, such as Z vami za vedno (1999), Za ljubezen (2000), and Lom (2019). In addition to singing, he also explored roles as a music producer and television personality—most notably appearing in the second season of Slovenia’s Dancing with the Stars (Zvezde plešejo) in 2018.
In 2023, after two decades of touring, Werner took a break from music due to burnout and health challenges. During this time, he and his wife Andreja launched an online platform called Iz prve roke ("Firsthand"), where he now promotes Slovenian products and businesses as an ambassador. Werner lives with his family in Logatec and remains active on social media, where he shares personal reflections and moments from daily life.
