VAZZ, one of the most hard-hitting acts on the local hip-hop scene, returns to Kino Šiška in March to mark the release of their fifth studio album, Vsi bi še, where confident rap seamlessly weaves together with the organic energy of a live band and an increasingly open-ended musical expression.
Multi-talented Ljubljana artist Mark J. Cavazza, aka VAZZ, has been making music since childhood, when writing poetry led him to discover his passion for rap. Having released three solo albums – Individuum (2018), Jacob (2019), and Kodeks (2022) – with production support from Hyu, YNGFirefly, and Emiljo AC, alongside the live band album Psiha (2024), he has established himself as one of the pre-eminent voices of the younger generation in Slovenian hip-hop.
After years of developing their sound, VAZZ – featuring bassist Peter Smrdel, drummer Žiga Smrdel, and guitarist Filip Vadnu – is stepping into a new era defined by fewer rules and more room to play. The new record Vsi bi še opens a somewhat different chapter: nu-school hip-hop, club aesthetics, dark trap, and playful experimentation with various vocal personas converge into a dynamic sonic whole that remains distinctly VAZZ while exploring fresh registers. Lyrically, the album is direct and critical, without losing what lies at the core of VAZZ’s work: vulnerability, honesty, and complexity.
Danceable club moments blend with darker, atmospheric passages as the band continues to confidently seek the intersection of hip-hop and contemporary urban production. Join us for a concert designed not merely for listening, but for feeling, movement, and the shared energy of the space.
