Špancirfest is a ten-day street festival held annually since 1999 in Varaždin, Croatia, at the end of August. During the festival, the city's historic center transforms into a vibrant open-air venue with more than 500 events taking place across numerous festival areas.
The festival brings together live music, theatre performances, street entertainment, children's workshops, exhibitions, creative experiences, and a rich gastronomic offering. Among its most popular attractions are Wine Town, the Burger Festival, and the Carlsberg Party Zone.
The festival features a diverse concert program on large stages as well as more intimate performances at Villa Bedeković. Another highlight is the street program, showcasing artists from around the world, including acrobats, clowns, puppeteers, and musicians.
Špancirfest plays an important role in promoting Varaždin as a tourist destination, attracting visitors from across Europe while enriching the city's cultural life. The festival celebrates freedom of expression, creativity, and togetherness, transforming Varaždin each year into a vibrant hub of positive energy, art, and unforgettable experiences.
