The legendary Rod Stewart is coming to Pula
Sir Rod Stewart, one of the best-selling artists in music history and one of the most successful live performers of the past fifty years, has announced The Final Encore, his farewell tour, bringing an extraordinary touring career spanning more than six decades to a close. The tour will also stop at Pula Arena, where he will perform on 22 June 2027.
“Dear friends, the time has come for me to say goodbye to life on the road. After more than six decades, The Final Encore will definitely be my last tour. I have been singing the music I love since I was 19, and I have had the privilege of taking it around the world and sharing it with you,” Stewart said when announcing the tour. “It has given me a life I could never have imagined, and I hope I have given you some wonderful memories in return. So I want to thank you for making this incredible life possible. I hope you will join me so I can thank you in the best way I know how – with music and a damn good show. See you there!”
The Final Encore will draw on the extensive catalogue of one of rock’s most recognisable voices. Stewart is expected to perform many of his greatest hits, including ‘Maggie May’, ‘You Wear It Well’, ‘Tonight’s the Night (Gonna Be Alright)’, ‘Hot Legs’, ‘Da Ya Think I’m Sexy?’, ‘Young Turks’, ‘Baby Jane’, ‘Infatuation’, ‘Forever Young’, ‘You’re in My Heart (The Final Acclaim)’, ‘Some Guys Have All the Luck’, ‘Rhythm of My Heart’, ‘The First Cut Is the Deepest’, ‘Sailing’ and ‘Have I Told You Lately’.
Stewart has been a presence on the music scene since the 1960s. In the late sixties, he was a member of the Jeff Beck Group, later rising to fame as the lead singer of Faces before building an exceptionally successful solo career.
His distinctive raspy voice and ability to move between rock, pop, soul and other genres have established him as one of the most successful artists of his generation.
Over the course of his career, Rod Stewart has sold more than 250 million albums and singles worldwide. He has achieved 31 UK top-ten singles, including six number ones. In the US, he has scored 16 top-ten hits on the Billboard Hot 100, four of which reached the top spot.
His success extends well beyond singles. Eleven of his albums have topped the UK charts, spanning more than five decades from Every Picture Tells a Story in 1971 to Swing Fever in 2024.
Stewart has received 15 Grammy nominations and won the award for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album in 2005. He has also received the Grammy Living Legend Award.
The British musician has been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame twice: first as a solo artist in 1994, and again as a member of Faces in 2012.
His live career has been equally remarkable. He has performed for millions of people around the world. One of his most famous concerts took place on Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro, drawing an estimated 3.5 million people and earning a place in the Guinness World Records.
He also held a long-running residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, performing 200 shows over 13 years.
