On 2 and 3 January, Kranjska Gora will host the 66th Vitranc Cup, one of the great classics of the Alpine Ski World Cup. The world’s best male skiers will tackle the demanding Podkoren slope in Saturday’s giant slalom and Sunday’s slalom. Expect two days of daring runs, battles for every hundredth of a second and passionate support for the Slovenian racers.
This time, the Vitranc Cup takes place on the very first weekend of January. Combine a holiday break in Kranjska Gora with world-class sport, good company and a lively entertainment programme. Between runs, soak up the atmosphere in the finish arena, then spend the rest of the day with friends and fellow fans.
Whether it is your first visit or a tradition you have kept alive for years, bring a flag, invite your friends and help create the atmosphere that gives Vitranc its special place in the skiing world.
