Peter Gabriel is a legendary English singer, songwriter, experimental creator, and former frontman of Genesis. While he first garnered attention through his solo work in the late 1970s, he reached a new creative high with the release of I/O in December 2023. The album, centered around themes of connection and spirituality, won two Grammy Awards in 2025—for Best Engineered Album and Best Immersive Audio Experience.
In July 2025, Gabriel released the live album In the Big Room, a recording of an intimate studio performance held at Real World Studios. The session—nicknamed “Lunatics in the Big Room”—featured only 100 fans, selected by lottery from his Full Moon Club, and offered a deeply personal experience of his newer material.
Gabriel remains highly active in 2025, embarking on his first full-scale tour outside North America since 2014. i/o The Tour began with spring dates across the UK, Ireland, and Europe, followed by a summer leg in the U.S. The setlists span over 130 songs across 14 studio albums, blending iconic hits like Sledgehammer and In Your Eyes with powerful new tracks from I/O.
In February 2025, Gabriel also confirmed he is working on a follow-up album titled O/I (a reverse of I/O), as revealed in an interview with Mojo magazine.
Outside of music, Gabriel remains socially engaged—he recently partnered with the World Elephant Day campaign and is known for his consistent, heartfelt communication with fans through his Full Moon updates and channels.
