Paul McCartney

Paul McCartney is a British musician, singer, bassist, songwriter, and pop music icon, born on June 18, 1942, in Liverpool. He rose to worldwide fame as a member of the legendary band The Beatles, where he and John Lennon formed one of the most successful songwriting partnerships in music history.

As a member of The Beatles, he co-wrote countless classics such as Yesterday, Hey Jude, Let It Be, Eleanor Rigby, and many others. His melodic bass playing, exceptional sense of pop structure, and musical experimentation were key to shaping the band's signature sound.

After The Beatles disbanded in 1970, McCartney released a solo album and soon after formed the band Wings, with whom he enjoyed major success throughout the 1970s (Band on the Run, Live and Let Die). In the 1980s, 1990s, and 2000s, he continued a prolific solo career, also venturing into classical music, collaborating with other greats such as Stevie Wonder and Michael Jackson, and releasing numerous successful albums.

Even in the 21st century, McCartney remains remarkably active—releasing albums like Egypt Station (2018) and McCartney III (2020), performing on the world’s biggest stages, and headlining Glastonbury Festival in 2022.
