Orkester Slovenske filharmonije

The Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra is one of the oldest symphonic orchestras in Europe, with roots dating back to 1701, when the Academia Philharmonicorum was founded. In its modern form, the orchestra has been active since 1947 and has become Slovenia’s leading musical institution. It has performed at numerous prestigious international festivals and concert halls, including Carnegie Hall in New York, the Musikverein in Vienna, and the Konzerthaus in Berlin. In recent years, the orchestra has collaborated with renowned conductors such as Charles Dutoit, Hartmut Haenchen, and Uroš Lajovic, and regularly features contemporary Slovenian compositions in its repertoire.
