MEN ARE FROM MARS, WOMEN ARE FROM VENUS 2
A comedy
Špas teater returns with the sequel to the legendary comedy and worldwide smash hit!
Fasten your seatbelts – we're taking off for Mars and Venus, this time with Bojan Emeršič!
More than ten years ago, Denis Avdić entertained audiences with his witty stories and observations as a young, mischievous man still finding his feet in a relationship. In the sequel, the wise Bojan Emeršič offers a different perspective: a man in his prime, with decades of experience navigating relationships between men and women, who knows absolutely everything about them! Just over an hour of laughter with him is currently Slovenia's most affordable couples therapy! :)
Experience counts for a lot in relationships! They're like elite sport – they take a great deal of practice! But do relationships change as we get older? And what could they possibly have in common with gardens and gardening?
Hundreds of thousands of couples around the world who loved the original hit Men Are from Mars, Women Are from Venus have been eagerly awaiting a sequel. Now it's finally here! A brand-new story: original, funny in a fresh way, entertaining, even more realistic and a little closer to everyday life! Once again, the central characters are him and her: they complement each other, but getting them to work together is anything but simple!
Men Are from Mars, Women Are from Venus 2 is a charming, spirited comedy packed with laughter, familiar situations and dialogue that everyone in the audience will recognise, whatever their “planet” or generation. A relationship favourite for decades, with more than 3,000,000 theatre-goers, it now has its long-awaited sequel.
If you think the first show cleared everything up, you couldn't be further from the truth!
And if you thought you finally understood the opposite sex after all these years? … Well done. What a charming misconception!
Men still don't hear what women are actually saying. And women still don't understand how men can spend fifteen minutes looking for something right under their noses… Two worlds that get on each other's nerves a little, yet can't live without each other!
Could there be an instruction manual for your partner? Why do we argue over the smallest things? Why do men try to solve problems while women want to share them first? How can a single sentence lead to three days of silence?
Discover all this and more in this entertaining new comedy! It explores ways to resolve the small but inevitable conflicts that can sometimes undermine a romantic relationship.
Love is an eternal mystery, and every relationship is like a garden: the moment you stop tending it, it starts to become overgrown. Without watering, weeding and at least a little attention, it soon turns into a relationship jungle – full of everything except love.
Fancy another evening of laughing until you cry – at yourself (just a little…), at your partner (quite a lot) – while discovering new ways to bring more harmony to your relationship? Then don't miss the new hit MEN ARE FROM MARS, WOMEN ARE FROM VENUS 2.
There's something here for everyone: those in love, married, divorced, in love again, and those who gave up trying to understand the opposite sex long ago.
The original show delighted audiences across Slovenia. Denis Avdić shone with his energy and distinctive humour, delivering unforgettable evenings of laughter. In the sequel, the incomparable Bojan Emeršič draws on his wealth of life experience to make you laugh and offer fresh insights into relationships – showing how two very different violins can make their sweetest music together.
► Why should you see the sequel to this legendary story about relationships – now even more relevant, honest and entertaining?
Because it rings true. And it's hilariously funny. Above all, it offers a witty look at how differently men and women see the world, how we think, how we listen (or don't), how we solve problems and, ultimately, how we misunderstand each other. Audiences quickly recognise themselves in these situations, prompting plenty of laughter, knowing looks between partners, nudges in the ribs and, most of all, smiles :)
Come for the answers. Leave with new questions. And aching stomach muscles from laughing.
Because love is a serious business. So the best thing to do is laugh about it.

► Background
Men Are from Mars, Women Are from Venus, originally titled Les hommes viennent de Mars, les femmes viennent de Vénus, is much more than a comedy. It is a worldwide phenomenon based on John Gray's bestselling book, which has been translated into more than 40 languages and sold tens of millions of copies around the world.
The stage adaptation, created by Paul Dewandre, has delighted more than 3,000,000 theatre-goers and has been filling theatres worldwide for years. The sequel is already following in the original's successful footsteps! The first show premiered in Slovenia in 2015 as a co-production between Bastard d.o.o. and KD Špas teater, and ran for more than 260 performances. Directed by Gašper Tič, it starred the unforgettable Denis Avdić, who “healed” tens of thousands of audience members with laughter and humour.
Now, at last, a new version is here, tackling the complications of modern relationships with a healthy dose of perspective, self-deprecating humour and, above all, a simple message: we know the rules of the game, and when we see their funny side, there's plenty to laugh about!
