Morcheeba

Morcheeba is a British band formed in the mid-1990s. Their sound blends trip-hop, soul, funk, rock, and electronica, creating a laid-back and atmospheric style of music. They are best known for the smooth, soulful vocals of Skye Edwards, who, together with the Godfrey brothers, forms the core of the group.

Morcheeba rose to fame with albums such as Big Calm (1998), Fragments of Freedom (2000), and Charango (2002), which produced hits like The Sea and Rome Wasn’t Built in a Day. They are regarded as one of the key names in British trip-hop and are also known for their emotionally charged live performances and decades-long career.
