Lollobrigida Girls

Lollobrigida is a Croatian-Slovenian electro-pop band formed in 2003 in Zagreb, led by charismatic frontwomen Ida Prester and Petra Ceglie (in the group’s early years). The band quickly became known for energetic performances, infectious synthesizer melodies, and playful, often humorous and ironic lyrics touching on love, sexuality, social stereotypes, and youthful freedom.

Their debut album Cartoon Explosion (2005) drew the attention of the regional indie and electro scene with songs such as Party, Sexy Ass, and Volim te. In 2008, they followed up with Lollobrigida Inc., during which the group expanded musically and incorporated Slovenian members, giving the project a cross-border dimension. Some of the best-known tracks from this era include Bivša cura, Moj dečko je gej, and Kompjuter.

Their style is often described as a mix of electro-pop, punk energy, and DIY aesthetics, supported by a distinctive visual identity – from colorful costumes and props to unpredictable on-stage interactions. As the band’s lyricist, Ida Prester is known for witty writing that blends serious themes with a lighthearted, fun delivery.

Lollobrigida have performed at numerous festivals across the region and Europe, including Exit, InMusic, and Waves Vienna, earning a reputation as one of the most entertaining and unpredictable bands from the Balkans.
