Laibach are a Slovenian avant-garde music group, formed in 1980 in Trbovlje. They are considered one of Slovenia's most internationally recognized musical acts, with a provocative artistic expression that combines industrial, electronic music, rock, classical music, and elements of military aesthetics.
Among their best-known songs and projects are "The Whistleblowers", "Opus Dei", "Geburt einer Nation" and "Life Is Life". Their most notable albums include "Opus Dei", "Kapital", "WAT" and "Spectre".
Laibach are also known for highly conceptual projects in which they combine music with visual art, theatre, and social commentary. Through their provocative image, multilayered interpretations of symbols, and politically and socially charged art, Laibach have become an important part of Slovenian avant-garde culture. The group has performed at major venues around the world and built a strong international following, with an influence that extends far beyond music.
