The Basketball Federation of Slovenia (KZS) is the governing body for basketball in Slovenia, established in 1950. It is responsible for the development and promotion of basketball at all levels – from youth teams to senior national teams and domestic leagues. Under the umbrella of KZS operates the men’s national team, which became European champions in 2017, as well as the women’s national team, which also competes successfully in international tournaments.
KZS organizes competitions, develops young talent, and collaborates with schools, clubs, and international organizations such as FIBA and FIBA Europe. Through its dedication to the sport’s development, it plays a key role in the success of Slovenian basketball players both at home and abroad.
