Judas Priest

Judas Priest are a legendary British heavy metal band formed in 1969 in Birmingham and are regarded as one of the most influential and pioneering names in the history of metal. Their distinctive twin-guitar sound, powerful vocals, and iconic leather-and-studs image helped shape the fundamental style of heavy metal.

They achieved their first major breakthrough with the album "British Steel" (1980), which features metal anthems such as "Breaking the Law" and "Living After Midnight". In 1982, they also won over American audiences with the album "Screaming for Vengeance" and the hit "You've Got Another Thing Comin'", further establishing their status as a global metal powerhouse.

Influential albums such as "Defenders of the Faith" (1984) and "Painkiller" (1990) followed, with the latter regarded as one of the highlights of speed metal. Vocalist Rob Halford, known as the "Metal God," is renowned for his extraordinary vocal range and charismatic stage presence. After a brief departure in the 1990s, he returned to the band in 2003, marking the revival of the classic lineup and a resurgence of their reputation.

Judas Priest have sold more than 50 million albums worldwide and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2022, receiving the institution's recognition for their lasting contribution and profound influence on the development of heavy metal.
