JETHRO TULL

Jethro Tull is a British rock band founded in 1967 in Blackpool. Led by vocalist, flautist, and principal songwriter Ian Anderson, the band developed a distinctive musical style that blends progressive rock, folk, hard rock, and elements of classical music. They are widely regarded as one of the most influential bands in the history of progressive rock.

Among their most significant albums are "This Was," "Stand Up," "Aqualung," "Thick as a Brick," "A Passion Play," "Songs from the Wood," and "Crest of a Knave." The latter earned the band the 1989 Grammy Award for Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance, while "Aqualung" and "Thick as a Brick" have become landmark albums of the progressive rock genre.

Jethro Tull has sold more than 60 million albums worldwide. Although the band's lineup has changed many times over the decades, Ian Anderson has remained its only constant member. Following a brief hiatus, Jethro Tull resumed performing under its original name in 2017 and has continued to release new studio albums and tour internationally.
