Jana Todorović, born as Dragana Stanojević on March 15, 1974 in Priština, is one of the most recognizable Serbian folk singers. She began her career at the age of 14, when she performed for the first time in a local tavern. After graduating from the "Stevan Mokranjac" Secondary Music School in Priština, she released her debut album Imam moć in 1992, although it did not achieve significant success. Because of this, she stepped away from the music scene for a while and worked as a music teacher in an elementary school.
The turning point in her career came in 1998, when she released the album Jana, which included songs such as “Sokolica” and “Dva života.” A year later came the album Polaznica, but her true breakthrough happened in 2000 with the song “Ostavi mi drugove,” which became a big hit.
Throughout her career, she has released ten studio albums and more than twenty singles. Among her most popular songs are “Šta će ti pevačica,” “Kući, kući,” “Crna kutija,” and “Troši me ove noći.” She has collaborated with various artists, including Sejo Kalač, MC Stojan, and Jasmin Jusić.
Jana is married to Ivan Todorović, owner of the production company "Vip Production" (later "BN Music"). The couple lives in Munich and has a daughter, Kristina Džulijen, born in 2006 in Las Vegas.
