Incubus

Incubus is an American rock band from Calabasas, California, formed in 1991. The lineup consists of vocalist Brandon Boyd, guitarist Mike Einziger, drummer José Pasillas, DJ Chris Kilmore, and bassist Nicole Row, who joined in 2024. The band is renowned for blending various musical genres, including alternative rock, funk metal, jazz, and electronic music, allowing them to continually evolve and experiment with new sounds. They broke into the mainstream with their album Make Yourself (1999), featuring the hit single "Drive". This success was followed by Morning View (2001), which included popular tracks like "Wish You Were Here" and "Nice to Know You", solidifying their place in the alternative rock scene. In 2024, they released a reimagined version of the album, Morning View XXIII, and embarked on a tour performing the album in its entirety. Incubus is known for their commitment to artistic integrity and resistance to genre labels such as nu-metal, with which they were often associated in their early years. Instead, they have strived to create music that reflects their personal growth and creative freedom.
