Hari Mata Hari

Hari Mata Hari is a Bosnian-Herzegovinian pop group from Sarajevo, led by singer Hari Varešanović. The group was formed in the second half of the 1980s and quickly established itself on the music scene of the former Yugoslavia. Their repertoire is characterized primarily by emotional love ballads, with some of their biggest hits including Lejla, Baš ti lijepo stoje suze, Kad dođe oktobar, Prsten i zlatni lanac, Volio bih da te ne volim and Strah me da te volim.

Among their most successful albums are Ja te volim najviše na svijetu, Volio bi' da te ne volim, Strah me da te volim, Ja nemam snage da te ne volim, Baš ti lijepo stoje suze and Zakon jačega. In 2006, Hari Mata Hari represented Bosnia and Herzegovina at the Eurovision Song Contest with the song Lejla, finishing in third place.

Hari Mata Hari are regarded as one of the most recognizable names in regional pop music, while their ballads have remained popular with listeners across the former Yugoslavia for decades.
