Green Day

Green Day is an American rock band formed in 1987 in California. With their breakthrough album Dookie in 1994, which achieved remarkable commercial success and sold over ten million copies in the United States, they played a significant role in shaping modern punk rock. To date, they have sold over 70 million records worldwide.

Their influence has left a strong mark on the music scene, as their distinctive sound, socially critical lyrics, and high-energy performances helped bring wider recognition to the punk rock genre. Green Day have won three Grammy Awards – for Best Alternative Album (Dookie), Best Rock Album (American Idiot) and Song of the Year (Boulevard of Broken Dreams).

With a career spanning over three decades and a continuous presence on the global music stage, they remain one of the most influential bands of their generation.
