Faraoni

Faraoni are a legendary Slovenian pop-rock band from Izola, formed in 1967. The band played an important role in the development of Slovenian beat and rock music, and over the decades evolved their sound from early rock and rhythm and blues to more melodic pop-rock with a distinctive Mediterranean touch.

Among their best-known and most popular songs are Solinar, Mi ljudje smo kot morje, Ne bom pozabil na stare čase, Tu je moj dom, Jaz te nimam rad, V San Simonu and E tristemente. Faraoni also achieved success several times at the Melodije morja in sonca festival, where they won with the songs E tristemente, Mi ljudje smo kot morje and Kar je res, je res.

Through their music, Mediterranean character and numerous timeless hits, Faraoni have become one of the most recognizable names on the Slovenian music scene, and their music remains popular among several generations of listeners.
