Beatpatrol Festival is an Austrian music festival focused on electronic genres such as house, drum and bass, dub, goa trance, and hardstyle, and has been held annually since 2009.
The premiere in July 2009 attracted around 20,000 visitors and featured over 100 acts, including international heavyweights such as Paul van Dyk, Paul Kalkbrenner, and Faithless Allstars. As early as 2010, the event grew to approximately 27,000 attendees, with artists like Tiësto, Paul Oakenfold, and Booka Shade. This was followed by around 31,000 visitors in 2011, when, among others, Tiësto, Paul van Dyk, and Moby performed.
In 2012, the festival recorded approximately 29,000 visitors and a high-profile lineup featuring acts such as Avicii, Armin van Buuren, and The Bloody Beetroots (DJ set). At the same time, the sustainability project GreenPatrol was implemented again. Due to recurring rain-related issues, the festival was moved forward for the first time in 2013, taking place from late May to early June.
In 2020, the event was canceled due to the pandemic. From 2021 to 2023, Beatpatrol established itself as a major indoor festival at the Vienna Marx Halle. Until 2021, the VAZ St. Pölten served as the main venue. In 2024, the festival celebrates its 15th anniversary and takes place at the Design Center Linz.
