About - Arch Enemy

Arch Enemy is a Swedish melodic death metal band, formed in 1995. It was founded by guitarist Michael Amott (ex-Carcass, Spiritual Beggars) and vocalist Johan Liiva. The band is known for its fast, aggressive riffs, melodic guitar harmonies, and powerful growl vocals, performed since 2014 by Alissa White-Gluz, preceded by Angela Gossow – one of the first women to achieve worldwide recognition as an extreme metal vocalist.

Over the years, Arch Enemy have released several acclaimed albums, such as "Wages of Sin" (2001), "Anthems of Rebellion" (2003), and "War Eternal" (2014). Today, the band stands as one of the most recognizable names in melodic death metal, renowned for their energetic live performances and strong lyrics about freedom, resistance, and personal empowerment.
