Al Bano and Romina Power are a legendary Italian-American musical duo who rose to fame in the 1970s and 1980s with their romantic and melodic songs. Al Bano, born Albano Carrisi in southern Italy, and Romina Power, daughter of Hollywood actor Tyrone Power, met in the 1960s while filming a movie and soon became not only musical partners but also a married couple.
Their career peaked with timeless hits such as Felicità, Ci sarà, Sempre sempre, and Sharazan, which became beloved classics across Europe, especially in Italy, Germany, and Eastern Europe. They also performed at the Sanremo Music Festival and represented Italy at the Eurovision Song Contest.
After their divorce in 1999, they took a break from performing together, but reunited on stage more than a decade later to the delight of fans worldwide. A fun fact – their biggest hit Felicità means “happiness,” a fitting title for a song that continues to spread joy to generations of listeners.
