AC/DC is a legendary Australian rock band formed in 1973 in Sydney by Scottish brothers Malcolm and Angus Young. They are known for their raw, energetic hard rock sound that often borders on heavy metal, as well as their iconic live performances.
Their breakthrough album High Voltage (1975) marked the start of a successful career, and they achieved worldwide fame with the albums Highway to Hell (1979) and Back in Black (1980) – the latter being one of the best-selling albums of all time. After the death of lead singer Bon Scott in 1980, he was replaced by Brian Johnson.
AC/DC have influenced generations of musicians and remain one of the most recognizable rock bands in the world. They have sold over 200 million albums and are known for songs such as "Thunderstruck," "Back in Black," "Highway to Hell," and "You Shook Me All Night Long."
