AC/DC are a legendary Australian rock band formed in 1973 in Sydney by Scottish brothers Malcolm and Angus Young. They are known for their raw, energetic hard rock sound, which often borders on heavy metal, as well as their iconic live performances.
Their breakthrough album, "High Voltage" (1975), marked the beginning of a highly successful career. They achieved worldwide fame with albums such as "Highway to Hell" (1979) and "Back in Black" (1980), the latter being one of the best-selling albums of all time. Following the death of vocalist Bon Scott in 1980, he was replaced by Brian Johnson.
AC/DC have influenced generations of musicians and remain one of the most recognizable rock bands in the world. They are known for songs such as "Thunderstruck", "Back in Black", "Highway to Hell", and "You Shook Me All Night Long".
