The volleyball spectacle is returning to Ljubljana.
From 24 to 28 June, Arena Stožice will host an elite Volleyball Nations League tournament, featuring the world’s top national teams. The Slovenian national team, who impressed their fans with outstanding performances at the 2019 European Championship, the 2022 World Championship, and the Volleyball Nations League in 2024 and 2025, will open the tournament on 24 June against Canada, currently ranked 10th in the world.
The next opponents for the team led by Italian head coach Fabio Soli will be Bulgaria, the current world silver medallists. Slovenia, ranked 6th in the world, will then face third-ranked Brazil. The tournament will conclude on 28 June with a match against reigning world champions Italy.
Sports fans in the Slovenian capital will be able to enjoy top-level volleyball, while the Volleyball Federation of Slovenia will provide a diverse entertainment programme and an organised fan zone.
Clients of Nova Ljubljanska Banka will be able to purchase discounted tickets for the parterre, as well as for seats in the Green and Red Rings. Admission for persons with disabilities is free, with only the accompanying person required to purchase a ticket. Every child, regardless of age, must have their own ticket to enter the arena.
Key Information for Attending the 2026 Volleyball Nations League
Dear visitors, volleyball fans and loyal supporters,
The elite Volleyball Nations League tournament, taking place from 24 to 28 June 2026 at Arena Stožice, continues its commitment to sustainability for the third consecutive year. Together, we can take important steps towards reducing the carbon footprint associated with major sporting events.
To ensure an even better matchday experience, we have prepared the following recommendations:
• Please arrive early and plan to be at the venue at least 30 minutes before the match begins.
• Whenever possible, choose sustainable modes of transport such as walking, cycling or public transport. Free Ljubljana Public Transport (LPP) rides in Zone 1 are available three hours before and one hour after the match.
• If travelling by car, we recommend using the free public parking areas nearby: Žale I–V, Kranjčeva Street and Gosarjeva Street.
• Carpooling is encouraged. Vehicles with three additional passengers are eligible for priority parking in the Stožice garage, subject to availability.
• Please separate waste and dispose of it in the appropriate bins. After the match, fan clappers can be placed in designated collection boxes or brought to the next match.
• Avoid single-use plastics wherever possible.
