Matteo Bocelli is an Italian tenor, singer-songwriter, and pianist, born on October 8, 1997, in Forte dei Marmi, Tuscany. As the son of world-renowned tenor Andrea Bocelli, he grew up in a musical environment and began playing the piano at the age of six. Despite initial shyness, he made his debut as a tenor at the age of 18 on the stage of Teatro del Silenzio in Lajatico. In 2018, he released the duet “Fall on Me” with his father, featured on the album Sì and used in the end credits of Disney’s film The Nutcracker and the Four Realms.
Matteo continued his musical education at the Lucca Conservatory, where he studied piano and vocal performance. His music blends classical training with modern pop influences, as showcased on his debut album Matteo, released in 2023. The album features songs in both Italian and English, including collaborations with artists such as Ed Sheeran, with whom he recorded the song “Chasing Stars.”
In addition to his music career, Matteo has also explored acting. In 2022, he made his film debut in Three Thousand Years of Longing, playing Prince Mustapha and contributing the song “Cautionary Tale” to the film’s soundtrack.
Matteo Bocelli is currently pursuing a solo career, striving to establish his own identity in the music world while honoring his family’s musical legacy. His unique musical style and dedication to his craft are helping him emerge as an independent artist on the international music scene.
