Ana Bekuta

Ana Bekuta (born Nada Polić, September 6, 1959, in Pribojska Banja, Serbia) is one of the most respected and beloved singers of folk and pop-folk music in the region. She began her musical journey very early—her first public performance was at the Prvi glas Priboja festival in 1974, where she won second place. Her professional career officially began in 1985 with the album Ti si mene varao, released by PGP-RTB.

Her major breakthrough came with the song "Ja nisam rođena da živim sama" ("I Wasn't Born to Live Alone"), which became an instant classic and brought her to a wider audience. Among her most recognized albums are Ti mi trebaš, Samo ti, Sve je bolje od samoće, and the modern hit Grešila sam (2023), often released in collaboration with Grand Production.

Her music masterfully blends traditional Balkan folk motifs with more modern pop elements. Some of her most popular songs—Ti mi trebaš, Veseljak, Imam jedan život, Zlatiborske zore, Crven konac, and Brojanica—have become part of the rich musical heritage of the region.

Since 2014, she has also been a regular jury member on the popular talent show Zvezde Granda, where she supports and mentors young musical talents with her expertise.

Her concerts are known for their emotional intensity and direct connection with the audience.
