64th INTERNATIONAL FAIR OF AGRICULTURE AND FOOD
22 to 26 August 2026
The United Nations declared 2026 the International Year of Rangelands and Pastoralists and the International Year of the Woman Farmer. With grasslands and pastures accounting for the majority of agricultural land, Slovenian agriculture plays a vital role in ensuring self-sufficiency in milk production, as well as in beef and poultry.
The AGRA 2026 fair will include livestock exhibitions, professional events, and examples of best practice. It will showcase the achievements of the cattle and equine sectors, promote the preservation of rangelands and the sustainable development of livestock farming, while also highlighting the need to improve the status of women in rural areas.
These joint efforts will be supported by the Association of Countrywomen of Slovenia, the Slovenian Rural Youth Association, the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Food of the Republic of Slovenia, the Ministry of the Economy, Tourism and Sport, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Spatial Planning, the Co-operative Union of Slovenia, the Chamber of Agriculture and Forestry of Slovenia, the Chamber of Agricultural and Food Enterprises of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia, the Beekeepers' Association of Slovenia, the Slovenian Forest Service, as well as numerous non-governmental organisations and volunteers.
In 2026, AGRA will once again serve as the leading showcase for innovative technologies, state-of-the-art agricultural and forestry machinery, and premium domestic and international agricultural products and food. It remains the region's leading international agricultural and food fair and a true reflection of Slovenian agriculture.
