Let 3 is a Croatian rock band from Rijeka, formed in 1987, known for their provocative, experimental, and often satirical approach to music and performance. Their style combines alternative rock, punk, and art-rock elements, while their lyrics are often laced with political and social criticism, dark humor, and absurdity. Members such as Damir “Mrle” Martinović and Zoran “Prlja” Prodanović have become synonymous with extravagance, shocking costumes (or their absence), and performances that blur the line between concert and theater.
Their early albums, such as Two Dogs Fuckin’ (1989), El Desperado (1991), and Peace (1994), were marked by a raw sound and provocative themes, quickly establishing them as one of the most controversial bands in the region. In the following years, works like Bombardiranje Srbije i Čačka (2000) and Jedina (2005) further deepened their concept of critical satire and artistic provocation.
They regained international recognition in 2023, when they represented Croatia at Eurovision with the song Mama ŠČ!. The performance, rich in symbolism and absurdity, sparked strong reactions from audiences and the media, placing them at the center of European pop culture as artists unafraid to play at the edge of acceptability.
Throughout their career, the band has received numerous awards and remains relevant thanks to their ability to continually push beyond genre and social boundaries. Their concerts are known as multimedia experiences, where music, costumes, video projections, and audience interaction create a complete artistic expression.
