About - Jelena Karleuša
Jelena Karleuša, born on August 17, 1978, in Belgrade, is one of the most recognizable pop-folk music stars in the Balkans. She began her music career at the age of sixteen with the release of her debut album Ogledalce in 1995. Since then, she has released twelve studio albums and has become known for her energetic performances and provocative style.
Her music blends genres such as turbo-folk, electropop, dance-pop, and pop-rap. Among her greatest achievements are the All About Diva Show at Belgrade Arena (2010) and Viva La Diva Show at Ušće Park (2013). In addition to her music career, she also served as a judge on the music competition Zvezde Granda from 2015 to 2021.
Jelena Karleuša is also known for her activism, particularly in support of LGBT rights and animal protection. In 2017, she opened the Belgrade Pride Parade as the "godmother" of the event. She has also participated in various charitable projects, including donations for ALS research and aid for flood victims in Southeast Europe.
