Franz Ferdinand will be back in Austria! After their concert at FM4’s Birthday Party in January, the four Scotsmen will pay a visit to Vienna’s Gasometer on December 11. Four years after “You Could Have It So Much Better,” their third album – “Tonight: Franz Ferdinand” – has been released and pays homage to the night, to going out and to the dance floor. With “Ulysses” and “No You Girls,” two successful “Tonight” singles have been released since January.
The new record by Alex Kapranos, Nick McCarthy, Paul Thompson and Bob Hardy can be described as a success all down the line. “Tonight” combines Franz Ferdinand’s trademark indie rock with electronic elements and is a masterpiece of song writing. Combined with their spirited live appearance, the Scots’ hits have their greatest impact: on stage, Franz Ferdinand are always “superfantastisch”!
