As it was already announced, Madonna’s successful ‘Sticky & Sweet Tour, the biggest grossing tour in history for a solo artist, will also stop in Ljubljana on August 20th 2009 at Hippodrome Stozice. Regarding the show, organizers held a news conference where they shared some important details about the concert and expressed their pleasure and excitement for being part of Madonna’s tour. Mr. Laszlo Borsos, the Director of Live Nation Hungary, the local subsidiary of Live Nation who is responsible for Live Nation tours in the Eastern European region - said „ We are very pleased because of Madonna show in Ljubljana as Ljubljana is more and more known as an interesting concert destination. We were honoured to become Madonna’s world promoters year and half ago, when she signed the 360' contract with Live Nation. Live Nation is the largest producer of live concerts in the world, annually producing over 16,000 concerts for 1,500 artists in 57 countries.
„Madonna’s concert is the most important musical event to be held in Slovenia. For lupapromotion this represents a great pleasure and honour because it is every promoter’s dream to be a part of a tour so well organized and so demanding as Madonna’s.” – added Mr Vladimir Ivankovic, Director of lupa promotion, Live Nation’s regional partner.  For this kind of demanding and top class show, preparations last for more than a week: Madonnas production team will arrive to Ljubljana ten days before the show day and there will be several hundreds of involved in realization of the shows.   Lupa promotion’s local concert production partner, Mr Štigl Metod, informed that Hippodrome doors will open at 17:30 and that traffic around the venue will be specially regulated because of a great number of fans coming to concert.
Members of Madonna fun club can purchase tickets starting February 17th at 10:00 until February 19th 2009 at 15:00 hours via web site www.eventim.si and can buy no more than 4 tickets. Rest of the tickets are going on sale February 23rd 2009 at 12:00 and can be bought on all official Eventim selling venues.
