Format:B predicting stormy weather on the dancefloor
Format B is a German duo that specializes in club-tailored tech house bombs. Their 2nd Album “Restless” was released on their label Formatik and contains only the finest House music. Jakob is a Berliner, from Kreuzberg to be exact and Franziskus is from Erfurt, a small and rural part of Germanys quite rough and wild East. The paths of these two young men crossed whilst they were both studying to be sound engineers. Seeing as all the other students in there year were long haired Metal heads it was only a matter of time until their paths crossed. So, after spending a few long Berlin party nights together they decided to see if they could start a project together. And so the story ends or better yet, begins with Format:B….

AKA AKA billed for Springfestival 2012
Starting off at Oliver Koletzkis Label Stil vor Talent, AKA AKA did their recent Album on their very own label Musique Burlesque. Hannes & Holger met behind the decks in spring 2008 at one of those openair parties which start as a gathering of friends and overflow in a park-rave of thousand euphoric people. Since then Hannes & Holger concentrate their energies on their collaboration.
Combining the jazzy hip-hop of Boombass with Zdar's phase'n'filter acid-disco, they debuted in 1998 with the club anthem "Cassius 1999”. Now we can’t imagine house without Cassius.
:[Funky Music]: Cassius in the House
Cassius returned to the studio in 2006, for the more experimental single "Toop Toop", but the next album, titled 15 Again, featured more vocal collaborations than the duo had done with Au Rêve.
While rehearsing their 15 Again album tour, Cassius provided the community with the a cappella track of their single "Toop Toop" and encouraged fans and friends to start remixing the song. It became an immediate success: the band started the Cassius Workshop project and released more a cappellas for remixing purposes. They claim to have received more than 400 remixes,[3] since October 2006.
Cassius's song "I Love You So" was sampled on the track "Why I Love You" on Jay-Z and Kanye West 2011 collaboration album Watch the ThroneSpringsessions 2012 feat. Shantell Martin
Springsessions 2012 feat. internationally acclaimed visual artist Shantell Martin. Her dazzling light projections have been featured in iconic spots such as New York’s Museum of Modern Art, the megaclubs of Tokyo and London, and on the enormous screens at Shibuya and Harajuku crossings in Japan. Martin has quickly infiltrated popular culture stateside -- she’s been cast as herself on quintessential New York show Gossip Girl, interviewed on CNN, appeared on an NBC morning show, and deemed a muse of super-hip design blog, PSFK. In October 2011, she was interviewed in French Glamour as New York’s “coolest it girl.”
Her recent work includes a collaboration with celebrity photographer Nigel Barker from America’s Next Top model, where she created digital sets for a 10 page Tatler Asia editorial with supermodel Christina Garcia. She is working on an exhibition with acclaimed photographer Ben Watts, featuring Watts’ pictures of supermodels and actresses doning Martin’s hand-illustrated 3x1 luxury denim products at the famous MILK Gallery in New York City. Martin’s brand collaborations include a screening in Dell’s 2011 experiential pop up workspace in New York City, drawings in Adidas Japan’s 2008 Spring/Summer look book, and illustrations for luxury fragrance line La Labo, to name a few. She also has created murals in a range of contexts - from the private homes of celebrities to the faces of models and friends.
