In the course of the last seven years, vocal success and unique arrangements have taken IL DIVO all the way to the top of a new musical genre. Today, the operatic pop vocal group announced another extensive world tour. Their fourth tour will take them to six continents next year.
On their last tour, "An Evening With Il Divo", they played to capacity crowds in 130 cities and earned the "Billboard Breakthrough Award" for one of the most successful tours of the year.
Recently, IL DIVO were named "Artist of the Decade" at the BRIT Classics. Furthermore, they are the most successful new international artists of the century: they sold over 25 million records in the operatic pop vocal genre that they themselves invented and coined.
With their great success, they gained new vocal ground and earned over 150 gold and platinum awards in 33 countries. With their first four albums, they conquered the top of the charts no less than 50 times all over the world.
If they wanted, IL DIVO could rest on their laurels. However, that has never been their disposition: their story continues, and they are looking forward to introducing "Wicked Game", an exciting new chapter of musical history, to their fans.
